Winona State University’s Music Department will host a guest performance with Corey Mackey and Mark Tollefsen at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in the Performing Arts Center’s recital hall.
This performance will feature 20th century clarinet and piano literature and include works by Gershwin, Bernstein and Muczynski.
Mackey is a clarinet player and music professor at University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He’s a principal clarinetist for the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra and has performed with and recorded with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
Tollefsen is a pianist, soloist and chamber musician who has performed in Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain and across the U.S. He is an assistant professor of music at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wis.
