The Winona State University Department of Music will host the second concert of the International Music Series featuring Lyz Jaakola: Anishinaabe Musician at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

Elizabeth “Lyz” Jaakola is a musician and teacher at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (link). She has performed and composed a variety of styles of music, including traditional Anishinaabe music, blues, jazz and opera. She strives to promote Anishinaabe music.
