Winona State University Department of Music will host New York pianist Dave Marck and his quartet of local artists presenting “Love You Madly: The Music of Duke Ellington ” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, on the Vivian Fusillo Main Stage Theatre in the Performing Arts Center.
The quartet includes Dave Marck, who has been performing in New York for over 34 years, Greg Balfany on the saxophone, Rich MacDonald on drums and Karyn Quinn on bass.
The admission fee is a donation to the WSU Friends of Jazz to help fund a student trip to New Orleans, La. to attend a Jazz Education Network conference next year.
The performance is sponsored by arts patron Bill Koutsky and the WSU Foundation. Koutsky will match all proceeds received at the concert.
