Winona State University student Sara Vincent was recently recognized as the Bill Kane Scholarship Award recipient by SHAPE America.
Vincent is a health education and physical education student with a minor in developmental adapted physical education. She has served as the past president of WSU’s Health Organization for Promotion and Education (HOPE) and a member of the Physical Education Club. During her time as a WSU student, Vincent has been a resident assistant, housing tour guide, and a fitness instructor. She also volunteered as a facilitator for Choices, a class that provides information to first-year students about on-campus health resources and helps them improve their decision-making skills regarding alcohol consumption.
SHAPE America (Society of Health and Physical Educators at its National Convention and Expo) hosted the Professional Excellence Awards Ceremony on April 7. Vincent was recognized during the ceremony.
