The Winona State University Digital Humanities Speaker Series will host “A Cacophony of Voices: Agency and Digital Pedagogy” with Jesse Stommel at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, Stark Hall, room 120.

Stommel will speak about how educational technology should not start with tools but with humans. Stommel believes that to do this people must acknowledge the ethical dimensions of tools, how they are used and who has access to them.

Stommel is the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Technologies at University of Mary Washington. He is the founder of Hybrid Pedagogy, which is a digital journey of learning, teaching and technology, as well as the co-founder of Digital Pedagogy Lab.
