Winona State University was selected to receive the 2014 Governor’s International Trade Award. The award signifies Governor Mark Dayton’s recognition of WSU’s work in attracting foreign investment.
WSU is one of five organizations to receive the 2014 Governor’s International Trade Award, which recognizes companies for developing business in foreign markets, increasing or maintaining jobs to support international sales, and developing approaches for competing globally.
Other winners include: Barrett Ag Services, Brainerd; Dombrovski Craft Meats, Foley; Industrial and Environmental Concepts, Inc., Lakeville; Tonka Water, Plymouth.
The Department of Employment and Economic Development’s Minnesota Trade Office (MTO) is focused on increasing state export sales in foreign markets and attracting foreign direct investment to Minnesota. The MTO promotes international trade by providing export information, export education and training, and one-on-one counseling to Minnesota companies that wish to sell manufactured goods and services in the international marketplace.
