Winona State University will host “An Evening with Leslie Odom, Jr.” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in Harriet Johnson Auditorium, Somsen Hall, as part of the Duran Family Speaker Series.
The event will feature a moderated conversation and three song performance immediately following.
Leslie Odom, Jr. is a Tony and Grammy Award-winning artist, three-time Emmy Award nominee, two-time Academy Award nominee, songwriter, actor, and New York Times bestselling author. He is best known for originating the role of Aaron Burr in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway musical “Hamilton,” earning a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
In addition to his acclaimed stage career, Odom has appeared in numerous film and television productions, including “One Night in Miami,” “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” “Abbott Elementary,” “Hamilton” on Disney+, “Central Park,” and “The Many Saints of Newark.” He has also released six full-length albums and authored the New York Times bestselling book “Failing Up: How to Take Risks, Aim Higher and Never Stop Learning.”
