Winona State University will host award-winning filmmaker Raymond Rea presenting “LGBT Filmic Voice: An Orientation to the Outside” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in the Harriet Johnson Auditorium, Somsen Hall.
Rea’s talk will be followed by screenings of several of his short films, including “Straightboy Lessons,” “Cat’s Cradle” and “The Album.” The screenings will be followed by a question and answer session.
Rea is an Associate Professor of Film/Video Production at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. His work encompasses non-fiction, narrative and animation, and has been screened across the world.
