diversityWinona State University will host Diversity Recruitment Day Wednesday, April 8, East Hall, Kryzsko Commons.

Diversity Recruitment Day is designed to support underrepresented, underserved, first generation and diverse high school students from around the area. The schedule will include admissions presentations, campus tours, student panels and academic sessions. Participating students will learn strategies for success in high school, as well as practical tools to assist them in making the transition from high school to college.

Diversity Recruitment Day is provided at no cost to student participants, their parents/guardians and schools. The event is sponsored by the WSU Offices of Inclusion & Diversity, Marketing & Communication, and Admissions, in collaboration with Student Affairs at Southeast Technical College.

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system recognizes and respects the importance of all similarities and differences among students. Inclusion and Diversity promotes awareness of these identities through programs, services, community outreach, curriculum promotion and university clubs as well as supporting traditionally oppressed and underrepresented groups such as first generation students and multi-cultural students.
