Winona State University Health and Wellness Services will offer information on living a meaningful life, sexual health, and healthy eating habits during the week of March 2.

WSU Counselor Kelly Kirby
 will host the Healthy Monday event “How to Find the Meaning of Life” at 7 p.m. March 2 in the Integrated Wellness Complex (IWC) room 138. This presentation will explore the different types of meaning that can be found in the world and will tackle the question of “Does everything happen for a reason?” The presentation will feature time for questions to be posed to both the speaker and fellow participants in order to understand the multiple processes people use for developing meaning in their own lives.

The Health and Wellness Student Advocates will host “Spring Break Blitz: Frisky Not Risky Safe Sex Kits” from 11 a.m. to noon March 3 in the entrance to the IWC. This interactive resource table will offer information regarding safe sex.

The Food and Nutrition Club will host the Wellness Wednesday event “Enjoy the Taste of Eating Right” in the IWC room 138 at 3 p.m. March 4. Join the Food and Nutrition Club in celebrating National Nutrition Month while learning great tips for healthy eating, informed food choices and physical activity habits.

Health promotion programming aims to increase awareness, knowledge and skills to sustain a healthy lifestyle. These programs are designed to challenge and provide personal growth and development for all Winona State University students. Event sponsors include Health & Wellness Services, The RE Initiative, and on Facebook, Student Health & Wellness Advocates, HERS Practicum, Counseling & Wellness Services, Semcac Clinic, Public Health Club, SHAG, FAN Club, Outdoor Education and Recreation Center, and Fitness & Wellness Services.
