The Department of Theatre & Dance at Winona State University (WSU) will present “Leaving Iowa,” the critically-acclaimed play by Tim Clue and Spike Manton, at the Dorothy B. Magnus Theatre in the WSU Performing Arts Center. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 23.
“Leaving Iowa” is a family-friendly comedy about a writer who travels across Iowa searching for a place to leave his father’s ashes and revisiting childhood memories. The play embraces a simpler time, when the family road trip and the adventures had along the way were the highlight of summer vacation. The show is suitable for all ages and was nominated Best New Play in the Country by the Detroit Free Press.
“Leaving Iowa” is directed by Heather Williams-Williams.
Tickets are $10 for the public and $6 for students with an I.D. Tickets are available at www.WSUArtsTickets.com or by calling the Box Office at 507-457-5235.
