Winona State University, in partnership with FORGE, the Women’s and Gender Studies student club, and the Women’s Resource Center of Winona, will host Take Back the Night beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, in the Student Activity Center, Kryzsko Commons.
Take Back the Night focuses on eliminating sexual violence in all forms. Thousands of colleges, universities, women’s centers and rape crisis centers have sponsored these events all over the country. Winona State University is taking a stand against sexual violence and is speaking out for a violence-free campus and community.
Awareness events will begin at 6 p.m. The speak out will begin at 6:30 pm, and the march to Take Back the Night will start at approximately 7:45 p.m.
