Winona State University has been named a 2014 Military Friendly School.

WSU demonstrates a strong interest in recruiting military students, leading it to be ranked it in the top 15 percent of schools nationwide, as noted in Victory Media’s 2014 Guide to Military Friendly Schools.

“Winona State has always been committed to providing a supportive environment for military students, and will continue its efforts to assist veterans and active service members families,” said Carl Stange, director of admissions at WSU.

WSU has received this designation annually since 2012.

Military friendly schools exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience. These schools have world-class programs and policies for student support on campus, academic accreditation, credit policies, flexibility and other services to those who served.
