The Winona State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present “night, Mother,” by Marsha Norman at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept.26; Friday, Sept.27; and Saturday, Sept.28 in the Black Box Theatre of the Performing Arts Center.
“night, Mother” is a serious play about a middle-aged woman and her mother who face a great test in their relationship following a tragic announcement. The play follows the family as it tries to sort through its relationships and attempt to prevent tragedy. The major themes include mother-daughter relationships, suffering, suicide and family.
The play runs for 90 minutes and is directed by Jim Williams.
