Winona State University Student Senate president Alexandra Griffin will present “Student Engagement: Campus and Community” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, on the second floor of the Darrell W. Krueger Library.

Griffin will discuss student involvement on the WSU campus, and the types of programs WSU Student Senate has created to help cultivate student energy. She also will explore how external pressures influence students’ motives for campus and community involvement.

All WSU Athenaeum Series events are free and open to the public.

The Athenaeum hosts events that explore and enhance the intellectual life of the University and the region through lectures, readings, performances, discussions and other events. By bringing together scholars, performers, students and community members for intellectual discussion and the sharing of cultural experiences, the Athenaeum reflects the importance the University places on the humanities, the arts and the sciences.
