4 – In Shakespeare’s play “Henry the Fifth,” King Henry inspires his troops with the line “We are but Warriors…” which was an amazing thing to hear while in the audience at the PAC at WSU.
5 – Winonans do not want to be inside for one more minute than they have to be between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
6 – Folks actually bicycle UP Garvin Heights Road!
7 – The WSU campus is alive with activity – so “summer break” isn’t a very good description anymore.
8 – The amazing staff at WSU doesn’t slow down for a minute.
9 – My efforts to convince Kelley that there aren’t any rattlesnakes in Winona can be disastrously derailed when golfers at the Warrior Golf Classic widely swap photos of a 6-foot rattler on one of the fairways.
10 – There are more things to do in Winona in the summer than anyone could possibly do. Kelley and I have begun our list for 2014 and you should, too!
