Dear WSU Community,
As you may be aware from recent media reports, Winona State University is investigating a complaint related to the former men’s basketball coach, Mike Leaf.
At Winona State, we strive to provide a high quality learning experience in a safe and healthy setting for each of our students. We have clear policies in place to promote the safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff, and others in our community. The University is committed to enforcing these policies by taking prompt and appropriate action when a complaint is received.
The only way we will stop unacceptable behavior is to be a community that does not tolerate it. We commend students for being forthcoming when notifying the University about any complaint, and we recognize the courage it takes.
We remain unwavering in our commitment to ensuring the well-being of our students and providing a positive learning environment.
Sincerely yours,
Scott R. Olson
President
