We are especially proud at WSU of our connections in the community. Students have created a new club this year and are partnering with the regional Project Get Outdoors (“Project GO”) headquartered in Whitewater State Park. Project GO was founded to assist Minnesota communities in connecting children to nature through exploration and outdoor learning. Our students will organize activities that engage at-risk children in the Winona area with nature in their own neighborhood. This is another great example of how we strive to make a difference in the lives of others, indeed, to “improve our world” as our mission statement declares.
