The Winona State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present The Good Body by Eve Ensler at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in the Dorothy B. Magnus Black Box Theatre at the Performing Arts Center.

The Good Body examines the issue of women’s bodies from a societal and media perspective. Ensler is a Tony award winning playwright, performer and activist. She is the well-known playwright of The Vagina Monologues. Ensler is also the founder of “V-Day,” a global movement to end violence against women and girls.

The productions features Winona resident Lori Eschweiler and WSU students Abby Olsen and Molly Daun. The Good Body is directed by WSU senior Kara Eggers and is a capstone project for stage manager Amanda Huston.

Tickets are free for students with an I.D. and $5 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www.wsuartstickets.com.
