Winona State University’s Mathematics and Statistics Department will host Frank Farris for a seminar at noon Wednesday, Oct. 12 in Gildemeister 329.
Participants will learn about Farris’s book “Creating Symmetry: The Artful Mathematics of Wallpaper Patterns” which describes his new artistic process for turning photographs into art.
Farris has served as editor of and as the MAA Chair of the Council on Publications and Communications.
The seminar is free and open to the public.
