Winona State University, the WSU Department of Music and the Collegiate Chapter of the National Association for Music Education will host the first workshop in the 2016-17 Elementary Workshop Series “Beautiful Singing is Elementary!” from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, in the Choral Rehearsal Room 159 in the Performing Arts Center.
Participants will learn a variety of techniques to engage and inspire student participation in classroom singing with fun and challenging learning activities.
Deborah Lamb is an elementary vocal/general music educator in the St. Louis Park School District in Minnesota. Lamb specializes in the teaching of voice skills to children in both classroom and choir settings. In addition to her classroom music teaching, she conducts a number of choral ensembles for students in grades 2-5.
Each workshop is $25 or $70 for the 3-workshop series. Each session may be attended as a separate workshop and receive .4 CEU’s
