Winona State University’s observatory will be open on clear nights beginning Sept.15.
The WSU observatory is on the roof of Minné Hall and will be open on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. in September and 7:30 p.m. in October – November. The observatory will be open until 9:30 p.m. each night and will officially close for the year on Nov. 17.
Because the observatory is weather dependent, after 5 p.m. on a given Thursday, visitors will be able to check the WSU Astronomy Twitter (@WSUAstronomy) to see if it is open that evening.
