Winona Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music Winona present a concert of music for trumpet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, in the WSU Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

The recital will be the first concert of the collaborative 2012-13 season. The trumpet soloist will be Professor Donald Lovejoy, music director of both ensembles and Director of Bands at WSU.

Lovejoy will perform Concerto in D by Giuseppe Torelli, Concerto in E-flat by Johann Neruda, The Hollow Men by Vincent Persichetti, Ballad for Flugelhorn by Bernard Fitzgerald and Pavanne by Morton Gould.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students with an ID. Advance tickets can be purchased at winonasymphony.org or Hardt’s Music and will also be available at the door.
