The Winona State University Retiree Center will offer summer 2015 classes through Senior University.
Senior University is open to all senior citizens in the Winona community. The program is a series of non-credit, short classes that are peer-led by WSU faculty, retirees, and community members. The goal is to provide intellectual and cultural stimulation and growth to create lifelong learners.
Summer 2015 courses include: “Mysteries of the Upper Mississippi: Geology and Ecology of a Large Floodplain River” with instructors Martin Thoms and Bill Richardson, June 4, 11, 18, 25 and July 2 and 9 and “Outdoor Adventures” with Eric Barnard and Ross Greedy, July 8, 15, 22, 29.
“Mysteries of the Upper Mississippi” will include hands-on experiences in the WSU Flume Lab and on the Mississippi River, including a class aboard WSU’s Cal Fremling, as well as a foray into the backwaters of Aghaming Park. “Outdoor Adventures” will include geocaching, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking, as well as high & low ropes course initiatives and elements.
Registration is available online at http://www.winona.edu/retiree/.

Can you tell me when the senior/retiree summer classes will be held? Do you have a notification process such as sending out an email or should I just continue to check back on the website?
Thank you.
