Winona State University will host Take Back the Night at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the Student Activity Center, Kryzsko Commons.
Take Back the Night aims to raise awareness about the issue of sexual violence.
The event will begin with a SpeakOut rally to give audience members a chance to participate and share their stories. The rally also will feature an informational session on gender-based violence at WSU.
Following the rally, there will be a march.
This event is supported by the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program, the Winona Women’s Resource Center, WSU’s GLBTA Committee, the Inclusion and Diversity Office, International Services, WSU’s Sexual Violence Advisory Committee, the RE Initiative, Fighting for Our Rights and Gender Equality (FORGE) and Full Spectrum.
