The Winona State University Women’s Track and Field Team will host the second annual 5K Winter Dash starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17. All proceeds go to support the team.
The Winter Dash features three different events: a 5K Fun Run, Kids Snowshoe Race and Two-Mile Snowshoe Race.
Pre-registration is $18 each for the 5K and Two-Mile Snowshoe Race. This includes a T-shirt ($10 each with no T-shirt). Race-day registration is $20 per race, and only pre-registration guarantees a T-shirt. The cost for the Kids Snowshoe Race is $10 per child. Participants must pre-register to receive a T-shirt. Snowshoe rentals can be reserved in advance for $5, but only a limited quantity is available.
The 5K Fun Run will start at Jaycee Pavilion at 10 a.m. and end at Lake Lodge. The Kids Snowshoe Race will begin at 11 a.m. The Two-Mile Snowshoe Race will begin at 11:30 a.m. Both snowshoe races will take place near Lake Lodge
Packet and shirt pick-up will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, in the WSU Integrated Wellness Complex. Race-day registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Lake Lodge.
