The Winona State University Retiree Center will offer a diverse set of spring 2015 classes through Senior University.
Senior University is open to all senior citizens in the Winona community. The program is a series of non-credit short courses that are peer-led by WSU faculty, retirees and community members. The goal is to provide intellectual and cultural stimulation and growth that will create lifelong learners. Courses cover current events, history, philosophy, science, art, poetry and literature.
Spring 2015 courses include: “U.S. Supreme Court and the Constitution” with Matthew Bosworth, Jan. 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6; “French Music of the 1940s” with Jeanine Black, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6; “Follow Wildflowers Through a Bluffland’s Spring” with Dave Palmquist, April 1, 15, 29 and May 13, 27; and “Spring Birding” with Arthur “Tex” Hawkins and Eric Nelson, April 16, 30 and May 7, 14 and 21.
