Winona State University will participate in Rochester Global Entrepreneurship Week Nov. 17-21.
WSU will sponsor “Entrepreneurship – To be or not to be an Entrepreneur? That’s not the question” (http://www.gewrochester.org/events/2014/11/17/lunch-session-entrepreneurship-to-be-or-not-to-be) with Hamid Akbari, dean of the WSU College of Business, from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17. This motivational lunch session will cover what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
From 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17, the WSU College of Business will sponsor Young Entrepreneurs “A Conversation.” (http://www.gewrochester.org/events/2014/11/17/evening-session-young-entrepreneurs) This evening session will highlight WSU students discussing their passion for entrepreneurship in a dynamic world.
Both events will take place at the Cube, 328 South Broadway, Rochester. The events are free and open to the public, but online registration is suggested.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of innovation, job creation and economic growth. Local, national and global GEW events range from large-scale competitions to intimate networking gatherings, with the intent to connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and investors, and introduce them to new possibilities and opportunities.
