With the victory at Kentucky Lake, the duo of Laufenberg and Stout now qualify for the National Championship, which w be held in April in South Carolina.
The Winona State Fishing Club was formed in 2009 as a way to put WSU on the map on the National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit. The club has since qualified for multiple regional championships and two national championships. Membership is open to WSU students who enjoy the outdoors and are interested in fishing of any type or skill level. Community outreach is also a club goal, with members volunteering in efforts to get kids involved in an outdoor setting and helping with the coordination of major fishing tournaments.
