Senior University

The Winona State University Retiree Center will offer the non-credit course “Four Actors of French Cinema” as part of Senior University 2014.

The course will cover the lives and films of French actors Jean Gabin, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Gérard Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil, and provide opportunities to view and discuss the films. There also will be three optional sessions at which participants can view three additional films.

Instructor Jeanine Black teaches French for the WSU Global Studies and World Languages department.

The course will run 2 to 4:45 p.m. Oct 20 and 27 and Nov. 3 and 10. The additional films will be shown 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 and 9.

Senior University is open to all senior citizens in the Winona community. The program promotes continued life-long learning and personal, intellectual and cultural enrichment. These non-credit courses cover current events, history, philosophy, science, art, poetry and literature and are taught by WSU faculty, retirees and community members.
