Winona State University Health, Counseling and Wellness Services will present the following events the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in the Integrated Wellness Complex, room 138.
Healthy Mondays “Good in Bed? Prove It—Sexy Trivia” will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in the Well (IWC 138). The event will discuss sexual health trivia with topics including contraception, STIs and even favorite sexy lines from movies. The Sexual Health Awareness Group (SHAG) will host the event.
Fit Stop will present “Gym Etiquette” 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, near the entrance to the Fitness Center in the IWC. WSU Student Health and Wellness Advocates will provide insider tips at an interactive resource table on the “Do’s” and “Don’ts” of the WSU Fitness Center.
Wellness Wednesdays will present “Be the Friend They Need” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, in The Well (IWC 138). Graduate assistant John Newman will conduct the event as part of the Recognizing Equality Initiative (RE Initiative). The event will focus on how to respond if a friend has been a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other gender-based violence. Newman will discuss what to say, what not to say and what survivors most need to hear. Participants will also learn more about getting involved in helping other survivors of gender-based violence, on campus and in the community.
Health promotion programming aims to increase awareness, knowledge and skills to sustain a healthy lifestyle. These programs are designed to challenge and provide personal growth and development for all Winona State University students.
