Winona State University’s TRIO Student Leaders Club will collect new and used books as well as new and slightly used school supplies as part of the “Students Supporting Students” program starting April 28.
The program was designed to give back to Winona State students along with students in the Winona Public School District. Students who are a part of TRIO Student Support Services are first generation, low income, or students with a documented disability.
The books that are collected will be used as a textbook loaning system for TRIO students. The supplies that are collected will be donated to Kids First for the children that live in the Maplewood Townhomes.
Students Supporting Students will run April 28 through May 9. There will be bins by the front doors of each residence hall. There will also be bins in Kryzsko Commons April 28-30 and again May 1 and 5.
This event was made possible through support of the TRIO Student Leaders Club.
