Grandparents UniversityRegistration for Winona State University’s Grandparents University 2014 is now open.

Grandparents University is an opportunity for grandparents to explore college life with grandchildren during a two-day intergenerational learning experience June 19-20. Participants will learn from WSU faculty and staff in an interactive, collaborative and fun-filled environment. On-campus housing in WSU’s New Center West Residence Hall is also available.

Grandparents and grandchildren select a major of study and take classes in their selected field. This year’s majors are: My Grandparents’ Living History; Physical, Mental and Nutritional Olympics for the Young and Not So Young; Crime Scene Investigation; Outdoor Learning Adventure; Mysterious Microbes; and Japanese Culture: Customs, Traditions, Language.

Participants do not have to be a grandparent to participate. Grandparents University offers any special “Grandfriend” the opportunity to explore college life and create lifelong memories.

Grandparents University also will accept a trio of participants. Two grandparents can bring one grandchild or one grandparent can bring two grandchildren. All must be enrolled in the same major.

For more information on majors and pricing, visit www.winona.edu/grandparents or call the Retiree Center at 507-457-5565.
