Holiday ConcertThe Winona State University Music Department will present the 13th annual Holiday Concert for the Hungry at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, on the Main Stage of the Performing Arts Center.

The concert will include performances by the WSU Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Ensemble.

The orchestra, directed by Paul Vance, will perform pieces by Giachino Rossini, J.S. Bach and Camille Saint-Saen. The wind ensemble, directed by Donald Lovejoy, will perform pieces by Prokofiev, James Curnow and Steve Reister.

At the end of the concert both ensembles will accompany a traditional sing-along with the audience.

Admission is one or more non-perishable food items or a cash donation. All proceeds will go to support Winona Volunteer Services as part of Merchants Bank’s “10 Days of Giving.”
