The Winona State International Music Series will present Anishinaabe music at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
Elizabeth Jaakola, Anishinaabe and enrolled member of Fond du Lac band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, will share the music of her culture.
Jaakola has a varied music background and performs and writes in a variety of styles and genres. She has performed as a soloist throughout northern Minnesota, and her native-based compositions have been heard on the radio, television and stages near the Fond du Lac Reservation in Minnesota.
The concert is free and open to the public.
