Noted author and photographer Craig Blacklock will take part in the dedication of a collection of his photography at Winona State University at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in the Harriet Johnson Auditorium, Somsen Hall.
The collection being dedicated includes thirty-eight of Blacklock’s fine art photographic prints, which have been mounted on the first and second floors of Somsen Hall. The photos include scenes and wildlife from around the Lake Superior area.
The dedication will begin with a reception and viewing of the photographs. The program scheduled for 7 p.m. will include a slideshow presentation by Blacklock that displays his photographic career and publications.
Blacklock will be available following the presentation to visit with guests and sign copies of his book and works.
The collection and program were planned and supported by Erv Bublitz, retired WSU professor of sociology; Tom Grier, WSU professor of mass communication; and Phil Sonnenberg, WSU Foundation account manager.
The event is free and open to the public.
