The Winona State International Music Series will present “Music of South America” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
Calle Sur is a musical duo that combines the music of Panama and Columbia into a performance that shares the best of South American music. Musicians Ed East and Karin Stein combine their musical backgrounds to form the group and they travel the world sharing their music.
East and Stein’s music can be heard in the scores of three different documentaries, and one of Stein’s compositions was chosen to accompany the feature-length movie “The Air I Breathe.”
The concert is free and open to the public.
