WSU-2010-International-Shi-HollyThe Winona State University Athenaeum Series will host “The English Language Center: Contributing to the Diversity and Scholarship of WSU” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, on the second floor of the Darrell W. Krueger Library.

International Programs Interim Dean Holly Shi will describe the academic commitment that the English Language Center shares with WSU and Winona. Shi will also discuss the international students that are served here on campus and outline the connections to the university programs.

All WSU Athenaeum Series events are free and open to the public.

The Athenaeum hosts events that explore and enhance the intellectual life of the University and the region through lectures, readings, performances, discussions and other events. By bringing together scholars, performers, students and community members for intellectual discussion and the sharing of cultural experiences, the Athenaeum reflects the importance the University places on the humanities, the arts and the sciences.
