The Winona State University Music Business Club will host hip-hop musician F. Stokes at noon Monday, Sept. 30, on the Performing Arts Center Main Stage.
Stokes will talk about his experiences in the music industry, highlighting both victories and mistakes. He will also perform pieces of spoken word following the talk.
Raised in Chicago and Madison, Stokes looks at the world through the experiences he’s shared with his family. He currently lives in New York City but travels seeking a global connection. Since 2009, Stokes has toured Europe on album releases. He has shared bills with artists Mos Def, Pusha T and DMX.
This event is free and open to the public.
