Music of Countries and Cultures Winona State University presents “Music of Countries and Cultures” as part of Senior University 2013.
Instructor Ruth Bures will introduce the sounds of China, Africa, India and the Caribbean. Each class will focus on cultural understanding, musical ideas and unique instruments. Participants will also be invited to enjoy live performances by artists representing these cultures at the International Music Series concerts at 6 p.m. Thursdays in the East Hall, Kryzsko Commons.
Classes will run 2:30-4 p.m. every Thursday beginning Sept. 12 in Performing Arts Center room 113. Cost is $40 per person. Enrollment is open to the public.

Senior University WSU consists of four to six-week courses with no tests, grades, papers or homework. Courses are taught by WSU faculty, retirees and community members. The courses promote continued life-long learning and personal, intellectual and cultural enrichment.
