Winona State University, Winona Health, and Gundersen Lutheran Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders have partnered to offer “Winona Survivors Unite in Exercise,” a free customized exercise program for cancer survivors.
The 12-week program is designed to help cancer patients maintain or improve strength, endurance, flexibility and wellness following treatment.
Enrollment is currently open. The program will begin Sept. 12.
Patients will work with WSU undergraduate students in the Movement Science program from 6:45-7:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in WSU’s Integrated Wellness Complex, room 136.
Participants must receive approval from the program director and their physician before beginning the program.
