BikeWeek_Story_ImageWinona State University will host Sustainability Fest from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the concourse of the Integrated Wellness Complex.

Sustainability Fest will serve as the official kick-off for April as Sustainability Month at WSU. A brief program at 1 p.m. will feature the unveiling of the plaque designating the IWC as LEED Gold certified. Activities include a residence hall sculpture competition, outdoor equipment display, and the grand opening of the Smoothie Bar in the IWC. The results of the annual campus RecycleMania competition will also be announced. Speakers include President Scott Olson and Student Senate President Alexandra Griffin.

A community resource fair will feature table demonstrations by area business where reusable and recycled goods are available. Drawings for prizes will be offered at each table.

Smoothie Bar samples will be available.

The event is free and open to the public.
