
Winona State University Homecoming 2025 celebrations will start Oct. 19 and continue through the weekend, with the annual Homecoming Parade taking place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
The Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and honor six former Warrior athletes and coaches:
- Scott Ballard — Coach (Women’s Basketball)
- Alissa Rausch — Track & Field
- Beckie Rolbiecki — Coach (Women’s Gymnastics)
- Ashley Walker — Softball
- Dan Walseth — Baseball
- Brian Wrobel — Football
The Evening of Distinction will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 24. This celebration honors alumni who have made lasting contributions to their fields and to the Winona State community. This year’s honorees include:
- Bob Strauss ’76 & Mary Jo (Schad) Strauss ’77 (Ken Mogren College of Business Award)
- Clyde Doepner ’66 & ’70 (Donna Helble College of Education Award)
- Paul Schaffner ’88 (Larry and Rill Reuter College of Science and Engineering Award)
- Ronald Andro ’81 (Karen Biel College of Nursing and Health Sciences Award)
- Marianna (Westbrook) Byman ’86 (Don Redlich College of Liberal Arts Award)
The Warrior Waddle 5k will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at Lake Lodge. Visit winona.edu/homecoming to register.
The Homecoming Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. Oct. 25 on Huff Street from Broadway to Mark Street. The Homecoming Parade is one of the biggest highlights of Homecoming Week for students, alumni, and community members.
After the parade, join us for Women’s Volleyball against University of Mary at 11 a.m. in McCown Gym. The community is also invited to Warrior Game Day Experience from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Johnson Street just north of Mark Street. This free community event is sponsored by the Winona State Foundation and features giveaways, games, activities for children, food trucks and live music. Come be part of the excitement and help boost campus and fan spirit before the Homecoming game against Concordia- St. Paul at 2 p.m. at Maxwell Field, Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium.
