Winona State University has appointed Paul Stern as Interim Dean of Students, effective Jan. 2, 2025.
As Interim Dean of Students, Stern will lead key projects and strengthen collaboration while ensuring holistic support for students as they excel academically and thrive personally.
Stern has over 30 years of experience in education and community work, with 17 years working directly within the Winona State community. His work has focused on enhancing student services to empower students and families, most recently as Associate Director of Enrollment.
Stern received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and his master’s degree from St. Thomas University. He did graduate work at Hamline University and the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and also studied at the Cheng Da National University, in Tainan, Taiwan, and the Alliance Francaise in Paris, France.
