The Winona State University CLASP Series will present “Barriers to Wellness” from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Gildemeister Hall, room 155.

Begum Aybar-Damali, assistant professor of recreation, tourism & therapeutic recreation (RTTR), will present on the positive outcomes of leisure involvement and what to do about factors that limit or prohibit participation in leisure.

Aybar-Damali holds a Ph.D. in parks, recreation and tourism management and a Master of Science in industrial management.

CLASP, the Consortium for Liberal Arts and Science Promotion, is intended to promote interdisciplinary discussion and exchange with presentations aimed at a general audience of students, faculty and the community. The CLASP Series was created to bring the WSU community and the greater Winona community together around a common theme.

This event is free and open to the public.
