Winona State University now offers a new Bachelor of Arts minor in Film Studies.
The program provides a broad overview of film culture, with emphasis on important historical and critical trends, film form, and style. Students will complete 24 semester hours with required courses in film analysis, genres and theory supplemented by offerings in visual communications, media literacy, film music, acting and play/scriptwriting.
The Film Studies minor is offered by the English department in collaboration with the Mass Communication, Theatre and Dance, and Music departments.
