The public is invited to participate in Winona State University’s Fifth Annual Warrior Waddle at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, beginning at Lake Park Lodge.

The course is a 5K (3.1 miles) and will run round East Lake Winona. Participants can either walk or run as they enjoy the beautiful scenery of the bluffs and lakes. Register online at

Pre-registration is available before Wednesday, Oct. 10. The cost is $18 per person ($12 excluding T-shirt), and $15 per person group rate when registering five or more. Pre-register before Oct. 10 for a chance to win door prizes and be guaranteed your T-shirt size.

The cost to register after Oct. 10 up until the day of the race is $23. Registration on Oct. 20 will begin at 7 a.m. at Lake Park Lodge, at the foot of Main Street and Lake Street. Participants receive a 2012 Warrior Waddle long-sleeve cooling performance moisture management T-shirt and refreshments. Registration includes chip timing.

Awards will be given to first, second and third place in each age division and overall winners. Age groups are: 13 and under, 14-18, 19-25, 26- 32, 33-39, 40-46, 47-53, 54-59, 60-65, 66-70, and 71+.

Proceeds will support WSU Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country scholarships.
