The Winona State University Department of Music will present the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
The recital will feature WSU music faculty playing solo pieces and ensembles. Eric Brisson and Deanne Mohr will play Andante and Variations in G Major, k. 501 by Mozart on piano. Natalie Filipovich on violin and Paul Vance on cello will perform Duo No. 1 in C Major by Albrechtsberger. Harry Hindson on baritone saxophone and Brisson on piano will perform Septiéme Solo de Concert by Jean-Baptiste Singelée. Mohr on piano and Suzanne Rhodes Draayer as soprano will perform De España Vengo by Pablo Luna and Las Castañuelas by Amadeo Vives. Adagio and Allegro for French Horn and Piano by Robert Schumann will be performed by Corey Henke on French horn and Susan Henke on piano. Brisson on piano will join Daniel Sheridan on clarinet in Solo de Concours by Andre Messager. One for Paquito by J.C. Combs will be performed by Jeff Strom on vibraphone and Rich MacDonald on marimba.
This event is a fundraiser for the WSU chapter of NAfME.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for WSU students and seniors 60 years and older.
