WSU-Women's-Rugby-2013Three Winona State University rugby players have been named to the 2012-13 USA Rugby Women’s Division II/NSCRO All-American first and second teams.

Kourtney Kavalecz, a junior nursing major from Roscoe, Ill., made first team in the forward category, having played in the lock position. Rachel Hunter-Schlichting, a junior business major from Bloomington, Minn., made second team in the forward category, having played in the prop position. The third team member named to the list is Megan Wingert, a WSU nursing grad now working in Rochester, Minn. She received second team honors in the forward category, having played in the lock position.

The Black Katts have also won the Minnesota, Pre-Season Collegiate Tournament for the sixth consecutive year. The team scored a total of 186 points and their three opposing teams combined scored zero.
