WSU-2012-Sustainability-HouseThe Winona State University Sustainability House will host “Dumpster Diversion” through Friday, May 10.

As students pack up and move out for the summer, they’re being encouraged to donate lamps, chairs, food, clothes and other items that they no longer need. There will be boxes in each hall lobby to collect unwanted items, which will be donated to local Winona charities. The goal of the program is to deter on-campus residents from throwing items away that could be of use to other people.

Items that can be collected:

  • Non-perishable food
  • Plates/dishes
  • Toiletries
  • Blankets/sheets/pillows
  • Clothes
  • Electronics
  • Lamps
  • Desk/Office supplies
